Rebuild the multiport again or just replace the whole valve

Been going back and forth on this one. My sand filter valve is the same one from 2015, I've already rebuilt it twice, spider gasket and the little o-rings, gasket kit is like 15 bucks off Amazon instead of the OEM number the pool store wants triple for. It's leaking at the handle again and part of me says just do the seals a third time since I know the drill now, other part says at some point the plastic body itself is tired and I'm throwing good money after bad. A whole new multiport valve isn't crazy money but it's a half day project either way once you're draining the tank and repacking sand. Anyone actually had a valve body crack on them or is this mostly a seal problem forever. Trying to decide if I'm being cheap or being smart here.

Third rebuild on the same body, I'd just replace it, at some point you're paying labor twice to find out the cracked spot the hard way. Mine cracked at the handle stem after two rebuilds, wasn't even a seal issue anymore.

Third rebuild is your sign, robotvic's right, the plastic gets brittle from sun and backwash pressure over the years even if the seals keep testing fine. Had one on my own pad crack right where the handle spline meets the body, not at any of the gasket surfaces, so no rebuild kit was ever gonna fix that.
