Had a short outage Tuesday, maybe two seconds, and I figured the pump would just pick back up on schedule since it's on the app. Nope. Came home to it sitting idle and the app showing last connected like six hours earlier. Had to manually kick the schedule back on through the app and it reconnected fine after that, so it's not a dead module, just apparently doesn't survive even a blink without babysitting.
Makes me wonder how many people don't check and just assume it's running. Kind of undercuts the whole point of smart pump if I still have to eyeball it after every storm. Anyone else's setup handle outages better or is this just how it is with these WiFi controllers.
Surprised the WiFi pump schedule doesn't survive a power blip

Had a customer last week with almost the same thing, whole street flickered during a storm and her salt system reset to default and just sat there for two days till I caught it on the route. Wifi pumps and controllers are notorious for not resuming schedules after any power hiccup, I tell everyone with one to just do a quick glance at the app once a day, defeats the purpose I know but that's the reality of it.
dont have a wifi pump so cant speak to that directly but two days before tampapoolguy caught the salt system on his route is wild, thats basically the whole argument against these things right there. app checking daily kind of defeats the purpose like you said
