There are both good and bad aspects of using them. the good -- they're dependable, they want to make sure that your pool is working well, within the organization they have a lot of expertise and employees who have been with them for a long time, and they generally respond quickly to problems. the bad -- they've gotten too big to care about retaining any particular customer; you're likely to get a cryptic one-sentence response if you contact customer service; you have to be careful about expensive recommended repairs that you do…

Our pool tech with A-1 Pools is Jose Barragan. Jose manages our pool as if it were his own. August was a very wet month on the Island. Jose checked on it regularly, which was reassuring. When Jose drives by our house and sees me outside, he will stop and ask me if everything is good with our pool. Jose is a personable, thoughtful, and professional individual. Our pool and deck stay crystal clean, and we can always count on Jose to be there for us! Good job and thank you, Jose and A-1 Pools!

I use A-1 Pool Service for my weekly pool maintenance and I’m thoroughly pleased with Curtis who has been on my account for 9 years. He is conscientious and reliable in the work he carries out. I can count on him to let me know what I need to do and when over and above his efforts. Thanks A-1 for having Curtis on staff.

A1 effieceintly designed and built our pool in 2023 after Year Round Pool totally ignored us and our requests for quote for months. Our A1 project manager, Chris, was tremendous and made some great suggestions and was always available when we had a question or a concern. Since completion of the pool we have used A1 for pool service and have been happy with their service. We fully encourage you to use A1 for all your pool needs.

We are so delighted we selected A-1 Pool Service, Inc of Hilton Head Island for a complete renovation of our 2005 Spa Pool and huge patio deck. Our old pool was well constructed but after 21-years needed some love. Had our pool deck replaced. While, as expected, the project took longer than promised and day to day communication was not always the best..the actual work was meticulous and the craftsmanship extraordinary. The project turned out great.

After 6 years of service we were subjected to a shut-off because our check was late. The follow up was a restart which we didn’t agree to and a $150 cleaning fee. LOL why did we pay for the restart of service? Bottom line, A1 should review there business practices.
