**Green pool photos prior to APPI, and pristine after they fully came into our lives** I don't really know where to begin... in the span of two short visits, I have learned a very hard (and, ultimately, expensive) lesson in what is competent and incompetent pool service. Alex came out and replaced my old Thermaflow with a new Intelliflow 3 VSF. They even offered to try and rebuild the old pump to save me money, but it was already beyond its predicted lifespan. Alex has come out multiple times and has always been great to work with. There were a few unforeseen technical complications with the system firmware, and Jon came out multiple times to troubleshoot and work through them. Now everything is running smoothly. Highly recommend APPI; they're a great local business!

Good: My jacuzzi is consistently up and running after repair. Thank you. Bad: Billed 150 minutes ($625) to replace a pump and flow switch. ~64% markup on pump. ~90% markup on flow switch.

Pool Owners Be Warned! Customer Service is not in this company’s business model. Not to mention their system for charging you is ridiculous. Beware that whatever quote you are given for monthly service will not be the price you pay per month. Often times your invoice will be 60% more depending on “extra work” or “chemicals added.” After reading other reviews about the owners arrogance I couldn’t agree more. We have been customers of APPI for many years. We buy all our pool supplies from them and they have serviced/repaired our hot tub and pool machinery efficiently for a very long time. Recently we had to buy a new (expensive) pool pump which we purchased through APPI and they installed it. We had multiple teething problems but Jon Roddick, the owner, was very responsive and returned promptly to deal with the issues....one of which according to the manufacturer 's technicians.... they had never seen or experienced before!! I arrived around 10:00 AM. The chlorine tabs cost me 86.00 including tax for 8.75 lbs of All Clear. I needed the tabs that day. Upon further research, I discovered that I can buy a 10 lb container for 48.00 (without tax) elsewhere. The man waiting on me acted as if he was doing me a favor. I'm an older lady so I do not know if that influenced the bad attitude of the man. I didn't mention the over pricing of this product and tried to be pleasant. This company obviously does not need my business, and I felt like my purchase was an inconvenience. By the way, I am not a Karen.
