Second Generation Landscapes just completed a significant backyard landscaping project for us at our home. Beforehand I obtained 4 quotes, and while 2nd Gen was not the lowest bid their representative/owner Marc H. was the only one who seemed to 'get' what we were trying to achieve. Access to the workspace was very limited in size but they were able to get small equipment in to complete construction of two small landscaping walls (3' exposed), fencing with louvres, new plants, an irrigation system, new sod, and a new deck with lighting focusing on our beautiful vine maple. We highly recommend Second Generation Landscapes. From our first inquiry, which was responded to within one hour, to our last the communication has been exceptional. Alyssa's design incorporated all our requests and Chris' team were always on time, friendly and cleaned up everyday before they left. When we had to unexpectedly change the schedule they very flexible. We love our new garden and could not be happier.

I’ve used Marc (Second Generation Landscapes) for 4 major projects over the past 3 years (pavers, retaining wall, stone wall and saw cut steps, sod, fence and decorative arbour). I would not consider using anyone else. Why? His crew provide superior work, are professionals, have always met or exceeded my expectations (I generally have high expectations) and should there be an issue Marc always delivers. We feel really lucky that we chose Second Generation for our retaining wall project and the rebuilding of our backyard garden. Marc knows everything in his business and is very resourceful. When we had any questions or new ideas, he would help Chris, the project manager on site, and they easily have the problems solved. No doubt that both projects were completed to our full satisfaction.

What can I say, Marc and his team are amazing. They start at 0730 but Marc or Alex were there at 0700 making sure everything was done properly. Any little issue I had they fixed right away. We did a massive project; 1/4 acre sloped back yard. We did retaining walls, pool and hot tub area, Pavers. Marc and his team worked with the electrician so all the wires were 2' beneath the ground. My retaining walls will last 30-40 years (wood) as they were done well above code and with full drainage. let me just say you can go cheaper but you'll pay double in the long run.
