Bromine floater vs going the frog route, weighing it again
Sitting in the tub right now typing this, water's warm, beer's cold. Been running a straight bromine floater with tabs for years and it works fine but I'm forever fiddling with it, chasing levels every couple days especially after we have people over. Switched to the FROG @ease setup a while back and honestly it's been way less babysitting, water stays more consistent without me touching it every other night. Not saying tabs are bad, plenty of folks swear by them and they're cheaper up front. Just curious if anyone went the other direction, frog to tabs, and actually preferred going back to the old way. Feels like most people move one direction and never look back but maybe I'm missing something on the tab side.

No hot tub here so take this for what it's worth, but my buddy has the same setup you're describing and went frog to tabs because he got tired of paying for the cartridges every month and just did the math on it. He said the babysitting came back immediately, chasing levels every few days just like you're talking about, and he ended up going back to frog within like two months because the time he saved wasn't worth the few bucks he saved on cartridges. So at least in his case it was a one way door too. Sounds like the "fiddling every couple days after people over" part is really the thing you're trying to solve, not the levels themselves, and tabs alone don't fix that.
