Thinking about an inline UV system for the tub, worth it

Feet in the tub right now, beer's warm already so I better type fast. Been reading about these inline UV setups that sit in the plumbing and are supposed to cut down on sanitizer use and keep the water clearer between changes. My ozonator's doing fine but I keep seeing guys online swap to UV or run both together. Never touched one myself so I got no opinion yet, that's why I'm asking.

Anybody actually running one on a 6 person tub, is it worth the extra plumbing and power draw or does it just sound good on paper. Not trying to chase every gadget out there but if it actually eases up on the bromine I'd consider it. Feet are pruning up, somebody talk me into or out of this.

No UV on my tub, only the pool side experience talking here, but whoever said it doesn't replace your sanitizer reading is right. It just knocks down some organics so your bromine holds longer between doses, it's not going to let you run the tub on nothing. Still have to test and dose, the UV just means you're not chasing it every twelve hours in this heat.

No UV here, can't speak to it, but Karen's point about not chasing it every twelve hours tracks with what I see on ozone too, my bromine demand on the tub swings a lot less once the water temp's steady versus when I'm heating it up from cold. Not the same tech I know, just saying the steady state part matters as much as what's doing the knocking down.
