We choose to go with Better Pools and Spas after reviewing several bids. Even though the bid appeared higher, the work being completed was more through; with a full removal instead of repairing only areas of deterioration and included leak detection, draining the pool, 30-day start up upon completion, etc., extras that were an additional cost with other companies. The crews that came were efficient and hard working. They did an excellent job of cleaning up after both “gutting” the pool and the final touch of spraying on the new pebble finish. We went to Better Pools and Spas with a general idea of how we wanted our lanai and pool area to look. Mark and Billy sat down with us and turned our ideas into a design that met all our requirements. The project entailed extending the lanai square footage, a new travertine deck, resurfacing the pool with a pebble tech finish and a new cage. Their pricing was very competitive and response time to our questions was very quick. Can’t thank this Company enough! I called so discouraged after our previous builder filed bankruptcy and left us to fend for ourselves with what was left of the money we had to finish our dream pool. Billy came the same day to see what we had going and to guide us on what options we needed to finish up. We ended up signing a contract with them and I was then kicking myself for not signing with them originally! Upon discovering we had a skimmer leak, we decided that now is the time to go through with a complete pool renovation which included new surfacing, new lanai deck surfacing and paint, and new heater and pump. Stan and his crew are a great bunch of hard working guys that address your concerns without hesitation. Choosing a pool surface style and color isn't easy! We had multiple quotes from companies. Better pools had a appropriate price and their workmanship was very good. Maintained excellent contact and their employees represented the company well. Timeline for events was on track and was completed timely.

We signed a contract in September 2025 for a pool installation. Billy/William the owner promised a maximum turnaround time of 3–6 months for completion. Since then, they have only completed about 30% of the work. We have paid for the project, but they have stopped all progress. Despite numerous attempts, they have completely ignored our calls, texts, and emails. This level of service is unacceptable. Taking payment and then abandoning the job, ignoring customers is unethical and unfair to customers. It seems like we are not the only ones out there. We have now hired an attorney to investigate …

Contracted over a year ago for a new pool & pavers. Still not finished & they have been paid. No communication from them till legal action threatened & still no work. I don’t recommend.

First of all I want to say the remodeling of my pool took a lot longer than I thought it would. However, I have to blame the 3 hurricanes we had in 2024 for a big part of that. I am very pleased with the workmanship. Johnny did a fantastic job on the tile work, and it was not a simple design. Ray was amazing with the paver work and went beyond to make it look professional. The plaster on the inside was the icing on the cake. They did a superb job and clean up also met my satisfaction. Billy, the owner, even came out and completed a special tile request.
