I recently had a deck built and am very happy with the craftsmanship. Lillian (I hope I spelled his name correctly) in particular was great. He was able to explain things in an understandable way and was always willing to give detail when needed, but not too much to overwhelm the customer. The initial framing in particular was very good (again credit to Lilian) I would have given 5 stars but I was quoted a specific range in terms of time to completion (by the sales folk/main office, not Lilian) and it ended up taking much longer than that. Wanted an elevated deck upgrade. Royal Deck came out, took it seriously, put together a plan. We had an older backyard setup. Not the simplest job. The build ran a couple of weeks. The new deck changed how we use the backyard. Meals outside, evenings outside, the kids prefer it to being inside. Even the dog has a spot she goes to every morning. Going in I was mostly hoping it would turn out decent. It ended up being more than that.

If you’re needing a new deck, hire Royal Deck. They’re the BEST! The whole process from start to finish was a breeze! Our first appointment with Ryan went amazing, as he helped us create our vision of what we wanted our deck to look like. The showroom was the best as it really helps you see everything you pick out. Major props to Alex, Stephen, Victor and the awesome Constantin of Royal Deck on an incredible job on our deck. I highly recommend them for your decking needs! They finished the job a month earlier than promised also, but would have held off if we wanted. We want to enjoy our September and October on the deck watching football and gazing at the maples across the pond, as they change from green to red. The dogs prefer to spend their time on the deck now! Excellent craftsmanship by all involved!

I would so love to be able to leave a review for this company -- they were recommended and based on the pictures of their work, I was looking forward to working with them. BUT...it is next to impossible to talk to an actual human at this company. Their entire scheduling and estimating process is now Artificial Intelligence based - which to their credit they are transparent about. But -- I was scheduled for an appointment which I had to cancel due to being stuck in NYC after flight cancellations and I successfully rescheduled. Got a confirmation indicating the new date. The gray boards against the dark railings just works. Clean, not trying too hard. A few people have asked who did it since we finished. I highly recommend Royal Deck!

I had a vision for our deck and Royal Deck were the best to get it done. We had several contractors come out to quote this deck and some were outlandishly expensive and others tried to talk me out of the open stairs that lead to the back (and as you can see, they were wrong). Luckily the crew at Royal Deck instantly got what we wanted and built this gorgeous deck for us. Seven years in this house and the back door opened onto basically nothing. A small step and then grass. Every summer I'd think about it, every fall I'd done nothing. Finally called Royal Deck, mostly just to get a number. Ryan came out, walked the yard, asked how we actually use the space. That conversation shifted things because I realized I'd been thinking too small. We ended up with a proper composite deck, big enough for a real seating area, steps on both sides. It's become the main reason we're outside from May through September. No idea why I waited so long.

The paperwork side of this kind of project always makes me nervous. Royal Deck put together all the documentation we needed for the HOA submission, which made that part a lot less painful than I expected. We handled the actual submission ourselves but having everything prepared and organized upfront saved a lot of time. The build itself was straightforward, on schedule, no surprises on the invoice. Solid experience overall.
