We tried and tried to work with Virginia Pool Sales since they were the ones who put our pool in before we bought our house. So we struggled along with them for several years, but we've just had enough. They would set up an appointment, but then never show up!! They did that many times! They would not return phone calls even though the receptionist said, we'll call you back later today. This happened at LEAST a dozen times!! One time the owner answered the phone and he even said, "I'll call you back within the hour to answer questions," and of course he never did. We ordered a pool cover…

Have to choose 1 star- would not let me choose none to post. Hoping our experience will get better before they are FINALLY DONE. Taken almost 4 months. Thus far, numerous problems that we have documented daily along with pictures. This is the first review I have ever written ever for any company. I hope this saves a buyer from having the same experience. There is no oversight and no project manager that ever comes out. Owner came once after multiple requests. Have been trying for 3 years to get our pool right. First ordered a new liner, paid 1/3 down and it took over 8 months to get it installed leaving 2 months to use the pool. The salt chlorinator stopped working, they came out to repair and they replaced it with a used chlorinator, charged us $830, which we paid, for something that was under warranty. Now the replacement stopped working after 1 week and we cannot get Virginia Pool Sales & Service to return our calls. I have filled a second BBB complaint and have also contacted our Congressman. I came to Virginia pool sales and services because I recently bought a small 1,053 gallon pool for my kids to play in this summer and quickly realized after set up that I knew nothing about pool chemicals and maintenance. I walked in knowing nothing and left feeling confident that I can keep my kids pool clean and algae free all summer. Excellent customer service experience!

I called to get an estimate. They hemmed and hawed about the request, like they couldn’t comprehend my need. When I point blank asked about price my quote was “ a couple of grand “. Sorry Charlie that isn’t enough info for me to chose your business. Either you can do the job or you cannot. Open ended nonspecific pricing is risky to me. Get your act together after all it is your business. You should know how much a repair will cost plus or minus supplies

We have been attempting to have this company service our pool for about 6 months. They are unresponsive, never return calls, and constantly make promises that they have no intention of keeping. They are probably the worst company we’ve ever had to work with in Roanoke.
