I contracted Scott (Pool Service MD) in April 2024 to replace a damaged pool filter that a tree had fallen on and to drain and clean the pool. The total cost was $8k+. Scott and his team showed up two or three times and then disappeared. We then received a call from his brother, who also owns a pool company, that Scott was in a coma. He advised us to find another service provider, even though I had already given Scott $4k (half of the contracted amount). Scott managed the complete renovation of our 1980s pool and we couldn't be happier with the results. He advised on the best plaster and tile and assisted with the color coordination of the coping. The job was done in just a few days and our new pool is just spectacular! We had Scott close our pool and wouldn't dream of having anyone else open and care for it. We cannot say enough good things about Montgomery County Pool Service & Renovations. They are true professionals and fantastic to work with.

My former pool service guys retired, but recommended Scott and Pool Service MD in Laurel. I contacted Scott and set up a pool opening for 18 May, but he didn't call or show on the actual day. I tried repeatedly to contact him, but his phone wasn't working. After about 5 days, I successfully reached Scott. He apologized sincerely and we rescheduled for 3 June. Well, I waited all day again, and once again he didn't show or call. Am very disappointed, because now I cannot get my pool opened by another sevice until after July 4th.

We had an immediate need to have our pool serviced and Scott was responsive and professional. Scott was quick to get us options and answers and kept us in the loop with everything he did even if it was after hours! His prices are very reasonable as well. I would definitely keep using Pool Service MD if we weren’t moving.

The owner of the company came to our house on an hour’s notice on a Saturday to service our pool. He did an excellent job and the pool has never looked better. Most pool service companies are closed on weekends, which makes it that much more impressive that Scott came out himself when his techs were at other client sites. Great pricing and value too. Strongly recommend!

These guys were great. I had them close my pool this year and for the first time I felt like someone really cared about closing the pool thoroughly. They worked great as a team and payed attention to detail much better than previous companies.
