My pool was leaking and John Myer and hs team were amazing. They handled everything for me including the leak detection and there were several. Anthony & Sylvan stand behind their warranty. My pool is over 20 years old and they fixed it. They even sent me flowers when John learned that my father had passed away. I would recommend them to any of my friends and family. My brother recently renovated his pool and also used Anthony & Sylvan in Houston. Thank you all so much! I will be calling again when it is time to replaster!

Anthony & Sylvan are the MASTERS of the pool universe! Look at the attached photos to see what they created in our courtyard. From start to finish, top quality, top materials, beautiful design and expert work. We have already spent many happy hours in our pool and attached spa. Joshua Tirk, our build manager, KNOWS what he is doing. He oversaw every aspect of our build. He visited our site nearly every day, took pictures, and gave us reports. If something was not right, which wasn’t often, he made sure it was made right. And he educated us in the care and function of our pool with great patience, during and after. Thank you, Joshua! We recently had a hard freeze in Austin, and our freeze protection kicked in beautifully! I texted Joshua before the freeze…No problems or worries at all! I cannot recommend them highly enough. Building a pool?…have Anthony & Sylvan and Joshua Tirk do it!

Andrew S. A & S in Austin came out in August to evaluate my backyard and reviewed my options for my pool and spa. Within 2 days he emailed me a variety of options of sizes, shapes and options for placing my hot tub. He was patient, knowledgeable and returned my emails of questions for a few months. I valued his knowledge, customer service and patience that they broke ground in late November. He continues to check in and ensure My questions are answered. If it wasn’t for Andrew I would not have chosen A and S for my pool. Thank you!

Anthony Sylvan has been great to work with so far. Andrew, our pool designer, was exceptional—he created a beautiful design that fit our yard perfectly and patiently spent hours rendering the 3D model so we could visualize every detail. He was always open-minded about any changes we requested. Now that construction is underway, Josh, our project manager, has made the process smooth and stress-free with clear communication and thorough walkthroughs. It’s exciting to see the design coming to life. Highly recommend!

We hired A&S Pools to design and build our pool last year. I wanted to give a huge shoutout to the entire team at their Austin, TX office, especially Beau the designer, as well as Jay and Bianca that handled coordinating and scheduling all contractors, ordering materials, parts and our warranty. This team did a fantastic job not only designing and building us an amazing pool but their communication, response time to questions, and continuous follow up after the pool was completed has been nothing short of amazing! We have enjoyed spending time relaxing with family and friends at our new backyard paradise and I would highly recommend A&S Pools of Austin.

We signed a pool contract with A&S in February of this year. The pool was technically completed July 22, however it did NOT pass inspection until September 15. Overall, the build was fairly seamless. Excavation started at the end of May, and minus some hiccups here and there (to be expected), the pool was built in about 9 weeks, which was great! All our headache and anguish ensued afterwards. For 4 weeks, we consistently could not pass city inspection. Part of this was due to our city inspector, Karaan. He was very green. He’d come to our house, and everyday he’d find a new issue wrong with the pool, and instead of just making a list for A&S to fix, he’d do it one at a time. A large part of us not passing was due to A&S though. After a month of failing city inspection multiple times a week, I asked for our city inspector’s number and called him personally. It took me calling the city to find out A&S had filed some paperwork incorrectly regarding a deck. Once I called A&S, they had no idea that they filed the paperwork wrong. I had to call my pool builder’s manager to try to escalate the refilling of the paperwork. She kept telling me she paid for it to be expedited (2-3 days). Four weeks later, the new paperwork was finally approved, and the following week, we passed inspection. All this to say our pool sat there like a construction zone for 8 weeks, and a lot of the plans we had for end of summer had to be postponed. As for the people I worked with: Bianca: scheduler. She was wonderful, really friendly and accommodating. Beau: design consultant. He was great. Straight to the point, doesn’t sell you on anything extra. Helped me design my pool and was honest about what I could and couldn’t do. Josh: project manager. Also straight to the point, very laid back. Had some issues with communication at the beginning but once addressed, it was fine. Easy to get along with and receptive to feedback. Lauren: general manager. When I started having issues with the permit, I went straight to Lauren. At first she was very responsive, and then she left me on read once I started expressing frustrations with the timeline and how the construction zone in my backyard made it difficult for my dogs as well. We eventually had a phone call which smoothed everything out, until it all fell apart again. She kept telling me she paid for the paperwork to get expedited, and I felt like I was getting the runaround everyday, which was very frustrating. At the end of the day, it was her and her team who filed the paperwork incorrectly. In the end, she offered me the spray deck money back as compensation, which was less than half of what I was asking for. Felt a little like a slap in the face after the 2 months of BS we had to deal with. Alan Walker: Lauren’s boss. Sent him 2 emails and left him 2 voicemails, and he never responded. One of the last times Lauren and I spoke, she had said she spoke with Alan, and he wanted to try and rectify the situation. The fact that he never responded to any form of communication I sent, and instead decided to communicate with me via Lauren was unprofessional to say the least. Overall, my pool turned out beautiful (hence the 2 stars). When anyone asks about it, I’m reminded of the stress and nightmare it was to get to this point. I feel like there’s going to be some stress when dealing with any pool contractor, but this was beyond. I felt like I had a second full time job trying to stay on top of A&S making sure everything was done correctly bc I had lost all trust in them. I’d go with another company if I had to do it again. While Beau and Josh were great, unfortunately the company all together was disappointing with terrible customer service when dealing with higher ups. Hope this helps the next person when deciding.

We had an excellent experience with A&S. From start to finish we had amazing support from Beau and Josh who helped address our thousands of questions and concerns and kept things moving along. We finished build in ~9 weeks (and on timeline!) and literally couldn’t be happier with the results. We chose ivory travertine pavers and French gray pool finish. 10/10 would recommend Anthony & Sylvan team for your pool build!!
