Having never built a pool, we knew we wanted a company that we felt confident knew what they were doing and offered a great finished product. We got a couple quotes and ended up going with California Pools to install a pool additional patio space and landscaping. Our designer, Jacob, was patient and thorough and did a great job designing a space that fit what we were looking for. Throughout the entire process we were kept in the loop and the project progressed quite quickly. I wanted to be able to give a good review. We started with our designer in Jan 2025 from Ohio. We were building a house in AZ and knew we needed both our front yard and backyard landscaping done and we wanted a pool and spa. Our designer was phenominal and I would give him 5 stars all day long!! Update: Our pool was completed by California Pools in May of this year, and we absolutely love it. After completion, we had a couple of minor maintenance items, and their team took the lead in getting everything handled quickly and professionally. What truly impressed us was the follow-up. Our project manager, Stephen Dreher, reached out five months after installation just to make sure everything was going well. That level of care and customer service is rare and very much appreciated. Casey worked with us out of the Surprise location. He really helped us bring our ideas (along with his own) to a reality. I had designs from several other pool builders and honestly, Casey’s plan was most inline with our vision. Michelle was my original planner for this project. She was so helpful and kept me up to date on everything that was happening. All the crews were punctual 6am-7am ready to work. If any crews arrived later in the day, work was completed same day. I had to revise my original rating because there’s been non stop issues. Salt cell has been replaced multiple times, the light they installed is crap, they didn’t seal the retaining wall well before filling it with dirt so we had mud seeping into the pool, they didn’t seal the cinder wall behind it so my neighbor isn’t happy with the staining and accessible draining into his yard. During the process of getting a pool I should have been more meticulous with documentation because there’s weaseled out of tapping into my existing drip system as I requested.
