The lovely people at Carolina Pool Builders are great to work with and are very focused on serving the customer. I often have questions about “what to do next” to keep our pool water perfect and they are so good about helping and giving advice including fixing or replacing any of the equipment. I am writing this on behalf of my in-laws the Lynch’s who had Carolina Pools install an inground pool more than a year and a half ago, which was paid in full upon completion. Approximately six months ago we were notified by the county that there was an open permit for the project. We immediately called the owner Mark who said he would take care of it. After six months and numerous calls to Mark the permit is still not closed and his phone is no longer accepting calls. Today we called the business and spoke to a gentleman named Steve. In our experience, Mark goes radio silent. He did not keep us up to date, we have to hunt him down. He is rude, arrogant, and very sensitive about all of his negative comments. Don't bring it up. He has postponed us over and over again. When we have tried to discuss it with him, he simply deflects. He is NOT dependable, and does NOT follow through. He only comes up with excuse after excuse. We give him a negative 5. Save yourself the trouble and find a company that cares, and will take the time to communicate.

Asked them to come out and fix a leak in our pool. Mark came out and took a look and told us they could do the job for us and fix the leak. They proceeded to get us an estimate and we told them to move forward. This was during the fall of 2024 and it is now June of 2025 and the leak is still not fixed. I repeatingly have to call every week multiple times to come out and fix the leak but now they are not asking my calls and my pool is still not functional and we’re already in mid summer. CPB is our go to pool store for all our pool needs. Their guidance makes it possible for us to do all of our pool maintenance including opening and closing for the season. They also did our pool installation 8 years ago and did a fantastic job!!
