We hired Blue Haven Pools in Austin nearly five years ago to build our pool, and since then it has been nothing but problem after problem — both structurally and cosmetically. What should have been a long-term investment in our home has instead turned into a costly, stressful nightmare. To date, we have spent over $15k out of pocket addressing issues that should have been covered under the company’s lifetime warranty. Rather than standing behind their work, Casey Worthey, who leads the Austin office, has been dismissive and unhelpful throughout the entire process. Email communications (because you can't get him on the phone) with Casey are limited to a single sentence response from him. Requests for the company’s insurance carrier information have been ignored. We are now past the required 60-day window to obtain the necessary insurance details because Casey refuses to provide any contact name or direct information. Instead, we are directed to an attorneys’ website with no clear guidance or assistance. As paying clients, we expected the company to honor its warranty and take responsibility for the issues stemming from its workmanship. Instead, Casey has made us feel like an inconvenience — as though we are asking for something unreasonable rather than requesting coverage explicitly promised in writing. The attitude conveyed by Casey is that they owe the customer nothing. What makes this even more concerning is that when we contacted other Blue Haven locations for help, they apologized for Casey and acknowledged how difficult it can be to work with the Austin office because of him but unfortunately, they have no authority over it. If your other offices are actively saying how awful it is to work with him, maybe you should fix the problem. If you are considering Blue Haven in Austin, understand that if problems arise and you do not have the financial means to address them yourself, you will find yourself without support — even with a lifetime warranty in place. All of this to say, stay away from Blue Haven Pools. They will leave you high and dry, with no concern for how it affects your life.

We built a pool and spa with Blue Haven in the Austin area in 2021. Our pool is now cracking and leaking. Blue Haven has yet to send anyone to look at it, told us after many emails they just sent it to insurance. That was 3 months ago and we haven’t heard from anyone. Our contract states lifetime guarantee that the pool holds water, yet it isn’t.

Steer clear. Built a pool 3 years ago and had an issue earlier this year that cost $8k out of pocket because the pool leaks. Now looking at another issue that will be $12k to fix, again due to the pool leaking. Blue Haven provides a lifetime warranty but it only applies to the shell (not plumbing) and even if its an issue with the shell they refuse to give any timeline to even look at the issue or fix it because it is all done via an insurance company and not them. They also refuse to share who the insurance company is or let the home owner try to contact directly. Every leak detection professional who has looked at the issues with the pool says the builder did a poor job of building it

Took Blue Haven eighteen months (12.2020) from the time we signed the contract before we could finally fill the pool with water and it still isn't finished. The absolute worst part, they habitually lie to you about when they are going to show up to complete work. No exaggeration here, they missed over thirty appointments and didn't apologize one single time. The last rep that showed up who was a former police officer said the way Blue Haven hooked up my water autofill, was illegal. I paid a plumber to install a dedicated water line to the pool and they simply threw dirt over it. I eventually found out they decided to tap into my sprinkler system instead. I called Ben to ask why my autofill didn't work. His reply, try turning the sprinkler system on. really? The pad for equipment is extremely unlevel causing trapped water resulting in expensive components such as, sanitizer, pumps and heater are submerged in water during heavy rain. They never caulked the spa so mud jets out when I spray the deck. Our pool is also still missing pieces that are laying in boxes. Eyeballs, light frames covers, etc. $100K + resentment. You have been warned. Update: Three years later, the coping has several areas where the grout is crumbling. Seven hair line cracks which span from the pool/spa edge 2-4ft. in length.

Two people made our experience positive with Blue Haven: Bobby and Brian. Bobby designed a pool unique to our backyard that stood out from the competition. We told him our thoughts and he translated that into the perfect design for our house, yard and family. Brian came in late in the game as a new addition and frankly, saved the day! He stepped in and got our pool completed on time and within budget. Brian communicated, which is all that I could ask for. He told us the truth and delivered on his commitments, even after everything was 100% completed. Those two gentlemen had such a positive impact on us that we named our little pool cleaner “BB” after Brian and Bobby. Thank you from all of us!

After many months of research and receiving quotes, we finally found a company that provide the best quote and had the best service. We worked with Bruce from Blue Haven Pools and he was amazing throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond to make sure our pool was built to our specifications, in the price range we were looking for, and would be finished by a specific date. Not only did he do all of that but he also worked around the clock with his crew to have our built before the timeline. They started the process at the end of May and by July 3, 2020, we were filling our pool and enjoying on the 4th of July. We cannot thank Blue Haven enough for building our dream pool! We highly recommend their services!
