I hired CDC to do a Reno on my decking and pool area. Jerry came and we discussed. He wrote up a fair bid for all the work. And work began. Everything moved along in a timely manner. One thing I like about this company is all the workers are there employees they are not subcontractors so everything moves along smoothly and you’re not waiting on subcontractors to finish up on other jobs, etc. but they did a beautiful job the workmanship on my pavers was beautiful. We chose CDC Pools to resurface our previous home’s pool and because of the excellent experience, we relied on CDC Pools for a second resurface. Working with Jerry Herzog was the main reason we selected this company for both remodels. He was professional, knowledgeable, communicative, and went above and beyond to offer great customer service. While I think they tried to do a decent job, as usual these days didn't pan out. Started job on time, tore up a few things doing work, not too bad, but shouldn't have happened. In the end they got done slightly late. But not happy with overall appearance, especially under lighting (see photo). Our previous pebble tech install certainly did NOT look like this. Numerous calls and emails back and forth and in the end they would only say it met industry standards. CDC Pools absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the start, Cassie was incredibly responsive, she worked late hours and even through the weekend to get me competitive quotes and clear pricing. Once we agreed to move forward, she personally brought tile and plaster samples to help us finalize the design. The crew got started right away and completed the entire project in just ten days. We don’t typically leave negative reviews, but we felt it was important to share our recent experience in hopes it will be helpful to both the business and future customers. Our intention is not to be unfair, but rather to provide honest feedback about what didn’t go as expected. We’ve now gone through two resurfacing projects with CDC Pools, Inc/Pearl Pools over a two-year timespan, and unfortunately, both were riddled with poor workmanship and frustrating oversights. Do NOT recommend I guess you get what you pay for. They were the cheapest quote and it shows. Work was initially delayed because they installed the wrong tile. They did fix that with no issue. Then started having issues with the pebble tech surface almost immediately losing color. Called while still under warranty and he tried to gas light me and tell me everything was fine. Kept saying “meets industry standards” Finally he acknowledged there were some issues and sent someone to “fix it.” Nothing fixed. Every week I’m ending up with about a cup of pebble tech and color chips in my vacuum. …

Worst experience of my life. This company does not communicate. They have zero customer service. They will NOT stand behind any warranty- so don’t be fooled by this. I would strongly suggest using another company for any pool needs. My experience has been horrible. I wish I had the reviews before I chose them!! Learn from my mistake!!!!! There’s no one really overseeing the project. And no follow up. When things go wrong you have no idea who to reach out to. They really just want your money!!!!

We spent $$$$$ on our pool remodel and just a couple years later we're dealing with issues that the company refuses to stand behind. The biggest disappointment has been the lack of communication and customer service after the job was completed. Before we signed the contract, the sales process was great. After payment, however, getting responses or meaningful help became incredibly difficult. The company advertises a 10-year warranty, but in our experience they looked for reasons not to honor it when problems arose.
