Back in 2020, I built my first pool with a different company and there were many, MANY issues during the process. I learned a lot of valuable lessons though, so when I decided to build a pool at my new house in 2024, I was much better prepared and educated on what to ask and what to expect. Pond Springs was recommended to me by the project manager of my house. He told me they had built several pools in the neighborhood and had done a great job. As soon as I met Neal (owner) at our initial meeting, I knew this pool project was going to be so much better than my previous experience. Neal was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. After hearing the horror stories about my last project and also determining what I did and did not want in this new pool, he worked with his designer to create the pool of my dreams! Neal was always fantastic with communication during the building process. He even sent me construction pictures when I was out of the country for a couple of weeks so I could still see the progress. I always felt informed and that Neal genuinely cared about making my pool dreams come true. He was always very involved in the day-to-day construction and I’d see him often at the site to check on trades, etc. My pool turned out absolutely gorgeous! It is everything I asked for and then some! If anyone is in the market for a pool, I highly recommend Pond Springs. The customer service is top-notch and the quality of the product is excellent. My pool looks and feels like I’m at a resort, which is great because now I don’t have to leave my yard to feel like I’m on vacation.

Amazing experience. Neal is incredibly knowledgeable, diligent, and friendly. He has stopped by nearly every other day to check on the progress. Extremely responsive as well. We are thrilled that we decided to work with Neal and Pond Springs Custom Pools!

I had an excellent install and ongoing support from Neal at Pond Springs Custom Pools. I found the quality of the work to be excellent. I appreciated from design to install and on going warranty support. He understands the best pool equipment … built to last. Each step in the process all the workers were knowledgeable and helpful. Neal was excellent to work with. He listened to what we wanted and designed the perfect pool for us. Our pool was built on time, and they were very attentive to all our requests. After the pool was ready, they proved lessons on how to control and care for the pool. Neal still checks in with us to make sure everything is ok and we are very happy. I give pond Springs Pool my full endorsement.

Our experience with Neal was poor from the time we signed our contract. We signed our contract in Feb 2022 and excavation took 3 months to start because he kept failing to get the permit submitted with the city. I finally had to call the city myself and they said they had not received any paperwork from Pond Springs. After I mentioned this to Neal, it was done within a week. Excavation began in April and our pool was filled in August (this is the only reason for 2 stars, it was fairly quick to fill date). However, since August 2022, we have had numerous items never get completed, including our fire feature which has not worked EVER, and several other items that are holding up our final inspection and our HOA deposit. Two other items on our contract have not been done at all, and we have basically given up on those. We have been very gracious and patient but at this point I will have to get an attorney to get him to finish the job so we can get through final inspection. Neal has been unresponsive to us unless I call from one of my office phone numbers that he doesn’t know. He’s completely ghosted us otherwise. I've never had to chase someone so much to get a job done, it's ridiculous. Wish we would have just gone with Denali.

Pond Springs Custom Pools designed a beautiful pool -- the creativity was amazing and we loved meeting Neal and designing our backyard however; since the last payment was received in November 2020, Neal disappeared. The customer service has been terrible and our pool is falling apart. I've been having one sided conversations -- texting and emailing about broken tiles, cracking and leaks for 20 months. I would say Neal responds to one in every ten messages telling me "he will check it out." He finally looked at the pool in February 2023 but the contractor that was going to fix it never showed. The cracks started with the cement around the pool and then they moved to the tiles and are now continuing to get worse and move into the pool. The waterfall wall had to be turned off a year ago because the cracks caused a leak. The pictures are from this weekend but the cracks in the cement around the pool started almost immediately. Also, our auto-fill NEVER worked. Be VERY careful if you use this builder for your pool. He's great UP UNTIL he has his last check.
